As I pace through it all
I speak to myself in familiar circumstances

Mountain’s peak of uncertainty
I climb it yet

A lake filled with misery, I'm drowning

So deep that this achievement will be my crowning

The clouds don’t catch you, I learnt that the hard way
As my face reaches the pavement, I wonder if this is my calling
I exist just to go through the paces
I stand in line and wait for repetition
Sometimes I wonder just why I tie my laces.
And yet I feel so lonesome as I consume
The sound of rain hitting my window
And the dampness of grey consistent on my bedroom
The mindless droning of nostalgia is a distraction
But it offers me no purpose to be longing
To be a doll who idolises without action
Yet here I am as winter stalls
Spring was just false hope bedded next to heat
But when summer ends, Autumn Calls.
